Individual Therapy
Uncovering You
We provide services for adults throughout their lifespan.
In life we lose direction by the constant demands placed upon us. These messages may be our own inner critic or the cultural message of perfection. We define stress as no longer having the capacity to transition, without fragmentation, within our changing world. This may mean that relationships feel disconnected or your life is lived by your calendar, rather than your passions or values. We work with you to first evaluate what strengths you possess and thereby craft what supports will benefit you in being more fully you.
Couples Therapy
Uncovering Us
There are few choices in life that continue to change and direct our life more than the partner we choose. A form of love or infatuation drew you together, but what will keep you together?
You may find yourself caught in a cycle of cat and mouse, retreating in pain and feeling constantly disappointed. Or you may relate to feeling stuck in a cycle of anger, ignited or triggered by constant and menial debates. Whatever your patterns as individuals and ultimately as a couple, this dynamic, becomes our focus.
This focus is supported by slowing the process down enough to see what is truly causing the friction. This is done through mindfulness and investigating your individual values and determining how they intersect and are honored in the relationship. We work with couples by exploring the you and the me, in order for your us to emerge.
Meditation
Listening To You
We have all fallen prey to the answer of “busy” when faced with the question of “how are you?”. While meditation and mindfulness are now common vernacular, most of us struggle with slowing down enough to truly be present with the question of how we are and not only what we have done.
In meditation, we are invited into a place of noticing and observing. Our senses, not only our brain leads the way. This may come in the form of watching our breath, thoughts, or how many conclusions we draw in a given minute. What often emerges is a fuller understanding of the stories we tell ourselves about the others, the way the world works, and ultimately ourselves. While fears may emerge as we begin to slow down, an invitation towards a space of connection and clarity follows. Please contact us if you are interested in experiencing this individually or in a group setting.
